Penny Belke was born and grew up in Oak Park, IL with her parents and four siblings. After attending Oak Park High School, Penny studied to become a hygienist at Northwestern University. She worked in a dental office for the next ten years while she studied at Loyola for both her bachelor and dental degrees. While in dental school, Dr. Belke was involved in three honor societies: Sigma Phi Alpha, Delta Sigma Delta and Omicron Kappa Upsilon. In addition, she received the CN Johnson Award for her incredible talent in the field of gold work. Dr. Belke’s excellence in dental school carried over to her current practice which is recognized by Top Doc and Checkbook as one of the best dental practices in Dupage County.

While attending school at Loyola, Dr. Belke met John Borello who was studying to become a Periodontist. The Doctors married in 1980 and had four children. Their oldest son, Steven, is a priest at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Claredon Hills. Kathy followed in her parents’ footsteps and practices dentistry with Dr. Belke. Nancy, Kathy’s twin, taught English at Wheeling High School for a few years prior to staying at home with her two sons, Kyle and Connor. The baby of the family, Jackie, is currently studying at Northern Illinois to obtain her degree in business.

In addition to raising four wonderful children and maintaining a dental practice, Dr. Belke is very active in the community. She is currently a member of the Glen Ellyn Rotary Club and has previously served on its board in a variety of leadership roles including president. In addition, she serves on the board of directors for both the B.R. Ryall YMCA and Community Bank of Wheaton/Glen Ellyn. The Glen Ellyn Character Coalition and St. James the Apostle Church are two other organizations that Dr. Belke enjoys giving back to and works with on a consistent basis.
