Doctor Katherine “Kathy” Borello is a third generation dentist. Her paternal grandfather, Dominic Borello, practiced dentistry in River Forest, IL for 45 years. Kathy’s father followed in her Grandfather’s footsteps, and Dr. John Borello M.S., D.D.S. graduated from Loyola Dental School in 1980. While attending school, John Borello met Kathy’s mother, Penny Belke, D.D.S, and the two married in 1980.
Prior to dental school, Kathy studied Criminal Justice and Pre-Dentistry at the University of Chicago. These degrees were both achieved Cum Laude and with college honors. Kathy completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Illinois’ Chicago College of Dentistry.
Doctor Kathy has distinguished herself as both a clinician and academician. At graduation, she received the distinction of the “Dr. Adalbert L. Vlazny Award” in honor of excellence in operative dentistry and clinical skills. She also received the “Samuel J. Cascio, DDS Award” in honor of excellent academic standing.
Dr. Kathy is an active member of the dental profession. She is currently a member in the following organizations: Chicago Dental Society, American Dental Association, and Illinois State Dental Association. Dr. Kathy values the importance of Continuing Education and maintains up to date techniques and materials with an emphasis on cosmetic dentistry, implants, endodontics, and is Invisalign and Lumineers certified.
When she is not in the office she spends her time as the vice-president of the Glen Ellyn Rotary Club, Active advocate for CASA and a director of the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce. She enjoys spending time with her family, barbequing, and golfing.
